How do you find employers?
Over the years we have cultivated excellent relationships with many clients who have an on-going need for technical employees. Most of these clients are prominent, top-quality companies. Before we work with new employers, we get to know them well so that we can refer candidates and be 100% confident that the employment situation is a good one.

Who pays for your services?
The employer pays all fees. Our services to applicants like you are provided free-of-charge. Furthermore, you are never under any obligation to work with us. You may enlist our help in finding a position or choose to withdraw your candidacy at any time.

How long does a job search typically last?
The duration of the search depends on many factors including the current economy, the demand for the rare skills you have, and how specific your requirements are for an employer. Rest assured that once you have placed your resume in our hands, we are actively seeking opportunities for you.

If I have to relocate for the job, who pays for my expenses?
In most cases, Raretec will assume or negotiate to have the employer pay for all or part of your relocation. Before matching you with a prospective employer, we will clarify and set proper expectations as to what will take place.

I'd like to proceed. What's the next step in beginning a search for a position that meets my needs?
We'll need a current resume that details your capabilities and work experience. We also welcome you to submit any letters of recommendation and contact information for references. Most important, we'll want a detailed description of the kind of position or job responsibilities you're seeking.

Will I have to take any tests?
Certain employers do require candidates to take assessment tests. Those tests vary from skills assessments to personality evaluations. Most tests can be taken online and submitted via e-mail. We will let you know if a particular employer requires testing.

How will I interview for jobs?
Initial interviews, if required, will be done by phone. If you live in or near the city of the client, we will facilitate an initial in-person interview.

How long do jobs last?
The duration varies with client needs. Raretec will set the level of duration with you individually as it relates to client requirements.

Am I obligated to you in any way?
No. You are in no way obligated to work with us at any time. Signing up with Raretec is risk free. And, as mentioned above, when we find you a position, the employer pays all fees.

What types of high tech skills are you seeking?
Our needs change based on our employers' situations. At this time, however, we see a high demand for Senior Oracle developers. We also have ongoing needs for people with strong C++, CORBA and J2EE skills. We welcome other IT professionals to submit their resumes as well as new positions open up all the time.

How many years of experience do I need to have to apply?
Ideal candidates should have a minimum of three or more years of experience in their specialty.

How soon after I accept a position will I be expected to begin?
The start date depends upon the employer's needs and your situation. We will help negotiate a time frame that is acceptable to you and the employer. If you must relocate for the position, we will allocate adequate time for travel and getting situated at your new location.

If I bring my spouse who does not have high-tech experience, will you be able to help him/her find employment?
We can't guarantee him or her placement, but we will do our best to assist in any way we can.
